Malcolm X

A historical figure was born today in 1925. Malcolm Little, who became known as Malcolm X later in life, entered the world in Omaha, Nebraska. He packed a lot of living into his short life and had transformed himself two times which makes him a highly interesting person.

The first transformation happened after he was sentenced to ten years in prison for burglary. He had been involved in many nefarious activities such as weapons crimes, grand larceny and drugs. After being sentenced to prison he took a turn away from his former life which was going nowhere toward a life of study. In prison he became a voracious reader with the classics part of his choices. He also was introduced to the Nation of Islam, for better or worse, by his brother, Reginald.

While under the influence of the Nation of Islam and its leader, Elijah Muhammad, Malcolm X became an advocate for living separately from Caucasian people. This was the solution to the racial difficulties that Americans were having at the time, according to the Nation of Islam and there was to be no talk of integration. But a couple of things happened to rock his world. Malcolm X discovered that his mentor, Elijah Muhammad, was having affairs with several women during which children were produced. This truth was a big blow to him.

After he found out the truth about his mentor he took a pilgrimage to Mecca, as Muslims are required to do. On this trip second transformation began and he saw people of all races interacting civilly with each other and him. It changed his outlook on the possibility of better relations between people of all races. He had already split with the Nation of Islam and started his own ministry, the Muslim Mosque, Inc. and was able to begin spreading his new message when he returned to the United States.

Malcolm X, unfortunately, did not have much time to speak of his new views. Members of the Nation of Islam gunned him down in front of his wife and an entire audience at a talk he was giving on February 21, 1965. Malcolm X died at the age of 39.

SHARRON ANGLE

Nevadans have a chance to do a great service to the entire country; remove Harry Reid from office and place someone in that position who will do what the people want him or her to do. One candidate, Republican Sharron Angle, is one of the people who would like to be the new Senator from Nevada. See if you agree with her philosophy.

A majority of the people of the United States did not want the federal government taking over the entirety of healthcare. Harry Reid is for Obamacare even though people were telling him they did not want it to happen. Sharron Angle does not to believe that Obamacare is a good idea. She has looked to the nationalized healthcare system in Massachusetts and seen that it does not work. She believes that the way to combat the ill-conceived federal law is for it to not be funded.

Because Medicare is truly a broken system Sharron Angle offers solutions to the problems presented by this current healthcare program. She believes seniors should not be thrown to the wayside as they have paid into the system all of their lives and they deserve to have something returned to them in their golden years. But she suggests creating a different system for those who are currently working which will transition into a free market type of healthcare system for younger workers. In this way Medicare will be phased out completely.

As a plan to help lower healthcare costs, which she believes that Obamacare will not do, Sharron Angle proposes tort reform. Other ideas that have been suggested by Republicans as a way to lower costs are also endorsed by Ms. Angle such as the ability to purchase healthcare across state lines and encouraging people to invest in health savings accounts. If this sounds good to you, stay tuned!

NET NEUTRALITY

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) wants to begin regulating the internet. Specifically, the FCC envisions the internet like the phone companies; they are able to regulate these companies currently. The positive side of net neutrality would mean that companies would not be able to give one customer an advantage over other customers by manipulating the traffic that each company receives. With net neutrality, the companies would not be able to block the traffic, which has been done in the past, from any one company.

It sounds like a good idea to some; net neutrality would make the whole internet “neutral” where one company does not benefit from the blocked traffic of another company. The problem I am concerned about is the government taking on more regulation duties. The FCC was regulating television when the Janet Jackson incident happened at the Super Bowl. People were up in arms about this and the FCC began discussing fines for stations that violate decency guidelines. With net neutrality these same types of disputes may begin with the internet as its subject.

Terrestrial radio also had its issues with the FCC. A radio station in San Diego that I was listening to for the Howard Stern Show decided to sabotage its own business after the Super Bowl incident and took Howard’s show off the air when Howard was not even part of the incident. Their rating plunged. They must have panicked and were unwilling to fight for their business so they willingly trashed it. I had no reason to listen to this station after that and a lot of people, apparently, agreed with me.

If you do not think that expanding the FCC’s reach into the internet is a good idea, the website http://americansforprosperity.org can help you contact your Senators to tell them to stop net neutrality legislation.

THE MOST HORRIBLEST CLOWN OF THE WEEK!

What is a “horriblest clown”? According to talk show host Terry Anderson, the Most Horriblest Clown of the Week is the person, most of the time a politician, who pandered to illegal aliens in the most egregious way. Terry Anderson’s show is on for one hour a week on Sunday and he devotes himself to the illegal alien problem in the United States. His idea of immigration reform is to enforce the current laws: Enforcement now and enforcement only. If this appeals to you, tune into his show tonight at 9:00 p.m.

One of the things you will hear tonight is who is the new “Most Horriblest Clown of the Week”. To give you a sample of what that means, last Sunday the Most Horriblest Clown of the Week was Lindsay Graham, also known as Prissy Lindsay Graham according to Terry. Senator Graham earned this honor by expressing his displeasure with President Barack Obama for not acting on amnesty fast enough. Apparently, the president only wants to talk about it and not do anything about it, which is fine with Terry Anderson, but to the Most Horriblest Clown it is a major flaw to not grant amnesty to illegal aliens. Be sure to tune in tonight for the new Most Horriblest Clown of the Week.

To find a station near you or to listen online go to Terry’s website at http://www.theterryandersonshow.com/. There is a hilarious picture of Lindsay Graham as the Most Horriblest Clown on the site.

Judgement and Discernment

The times to make judgments about someone’s character come up often. This is not unusual. What makes making judgments difficult is when resentment is added to the judgment. But making judgments is important to do because sometimes we are involved in things we really shouldn’t be involved in. If we never make judgments about these things we will never be able to leave these situations. The thing to remember is to not hold resentment toward the people about whom we are making negative judgments.

A common scenario is with relationships. Both men and women can get into relationships with people who are not good for them. What we need to do in these situations is to accept the fact that our partner is not, for example, emotionally stable and to leave the relationship. After leaving this relationship it is time to move on to other things and not feel any resentment toward that person because it is not good for the person holding the resentment as has been explained in detail above.

When you are in a place where you can make a judgment about other people without resentment entering in, it is discernment. Discerning between things can mean that you are deciding whether or not something is good for you. In the example of the relationship you are discerning whether or not the other person is a good match for you. Does this person do things that you would not like to live with for the rest of your life? If the answer to that question is yes, then you have discerned that it is not a good match. In this case you can terminate the relationship and it will not be because you are resenting this person. It will be because you are acting like an adult and deciding what is good for you and what is not.

Being judgmental is another quality that people tend to think is a part of life. This is when people look down their noses at others that they are judging to be less than themselves. It is not necessary to become conceited when you are discerning the character of another. This makes you less of a person because resentment has crept in. You are resenting the person to whom you feel superior. You can avoid becoming this type of person by discerning rather than judging negatively as described above.

The Foundation of Human Understanding can help you further understand the differences between judgment and discernment and other negative emotions. Roy Masters also has a radio show and you can find the radio station near you on the website. The website can be found at http://www.fhu.com/ and has many materials such as books, videos and CDs that are phenomenal. To say that this website is life-changing is not an exaggeration. You will learn how to give up judgment and resentment which will make everything different.

RESENTMENT

Resentment means that you are living an event over again. This would be all right if you were only reliving the good things that happen, but most likely what you are reliving are the negative events. Some people think this is normal. They think it is normal to feel resentment, but others believe that it is not. Therefore, we should not be reliving the negative things that happen to us over and over again.

Suppose you are at work and something unpleasant happens; for example, you have an unpleasant dispute with a co-worker. This turns into a constant thought in your mind and you replay it over and over again with what you might have said that would have been better than what you actually did say. These actions etch this dispute in your brain so that you have a very good memory for it. As you continue to recreate the memory and make up other scenarios for it you are obsessed with the memory. This is a horrible thing to do to yourself and is not normal.

A better action to take is to not let yourself get upset in the first place. When your co-worker becomes difficult, if you do not allow yourself to become as emotionally invested in the argument as this other person you will save yourself the resentment that inevitably comes from fights. Maybe it seems impossible at this time, because whenever anyone started an argument you always gave it back to them. But, it is possible to train yourself into not reacting to someone’s bad temper. When you do this you will find that you will not harbor any resentment toward this person because you did not invest your emotions in some trivial matter. Without resentment you will not relive the moment over and over again and you can place your energy in the important things such as your family, your friends, the activities that give you joy.

It is not important for you to fight everyone who wants to fight you. If the other person turns violent, then you are obligated to defend yourself, but short of that you can work on being a more serene person when it is appropriate. It will do wonders for your well-being and your health. Your blood pressure will not spike as often and your heart rate will remain steadier. There are also diseases that take years to develop. It is believed that our emotions can be partly responsible for diseases such as cancer. If this is the case, becoming more relaxed in your life will help prevent those diseases from festering.

This concept of not becoming upset during an argument may seem very foreign. There is a wonderful website where you can become more familiar with these concepts developed by Roy Masters. It is called the Foundation of Human Understanding and can be found at http://www.fhu.com/. It is termed a Christian organization but you do not have to be Christian to benefit greatly from this website. Roy is Jewish, after all. Visit this website and it will change your life.

DISCOVER THE BEST, NEW TRAFFIC-GENERATING TOOL

Web Traffic Flow is a new site that says it guarantees more CONVERTING web visitors and online advertising with very little effort or cost. So I decided to put it to the test...

My first impression was the site looks professional and clean with an attractive look and feel. It is easy to read and understand. Joining the site was easy and painless--they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive--I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up and running in less than 5 minutes. Inside the site you create links and ads--you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into "Web Traffic Flow" links. You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Web Traffic Flow Ad Generator, which is very easy to use. You can create as many links and as many ads as you like. And they are organized in a logical way--links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference. Also, since the link generator is the tool you'll use most it is right at the top of the main page when you login. Very smart!

After you've created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic. Just use and promote the new Web Traffic Flow link instead of the original source link you had. Every time the Web Traffic Flow link is clicked, the page loads followed by a cool slide-up ad window at the bottom. It displays an ad PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Web Traffic Flow. So if anyone clicks the Web Traffic Flow image they see the site and if they signup they become your referral. It's a great viral feature because you can build referrals without even trying to just by using the site.

Now every time the ad window displays (your Web Traffic Flow links get clicked) you earn credits that get YOUR ad displayed in the ad windows when other members' links get clicked. So the more clicks the more times your ads get displayed.

And this works virally--meaning as you make referrals into Web Traffic Flow (either by promoting it or just using it and visitors click the Web Traffic Flow image on the ad window to join) you also earn ad credits on THEIR link clicks. This works up to 5 levels deep. So you can create a massive amount of free ad views and web traffic by referring others to Web Traffic Flow.

I didn't get to test the full effect of a big downline yet (I just got the tool) but I can tell you the rest of the site works exactly as stated--my links got clicked, I earned credits and my ads got displayed. Web Traffic Flow even tracked my results so I know how many clicks and how many ad displays there were. That was an impressive unadvertised extra feature.

There is one more benefit and feature which might be the best of them all--downline emailing. You can email your downline with offers, promotions or whatever you like and here is where Web Traffic Flow really shines. They took time to make the emailing often enough that it's valuable as a user but no so often that it's a burden to your downline. But the best part about this feature (and actually the credit earning, too) is that it tells you exactly how long until you can mail again. Now THAT's cool.

Overall I have to say I am impressed with Web Traffic Flow. It is simple, yet powerful and delivers on its promises. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to increase traffic and advertising.

See it and join here:

LIGHT-SKINNED AND WITHOUT A NEGRO DIALECT

Barack Obama thinks that Harry Reid was saying something complimentary about him. Where is the compliment? The compliment is in stressing what he is not. He is also not offended by the remarks. I know who should be offended by them. All those people who have dark skin and speak with that “negro dialect” that Harry Reid spoke of. According to Harry Reid it’s a good thing that Barack Obama is not a dark-skinned man with a Negro dialect or else he wouldn’t be elected president of the United States. It probably would be difficult for Snoop Dogg, for example, to be elected president but I think he would have other issues that would take precedence over his dark skin and way of speaking.

Now let’s fast forward to the State of the Union Address. Chris Matthews stated that he “forgot” that Obama is Black watching this speech. What happens when one forgets that a person is Black? What does he think when he is aware that Obama is Black and then what does he think when he forgets that Obama is Black? This is the person who felt a “thrill going up his leg” over Barack Obama before he was elected so I can’t believe that it would be anything bad he’s thinking when he is aware that Obama is Black.

It’s interesting that people feel free to make these racist statements now that we have a president of African descent. How can anyone say what Harry Reid and Chris Matthews have said and not think that there would be some sort of outcry? Barack Obama was supposed to bridge the gap between the races, but it looks like people are obsessed with race and aren’t afraid to let everyone know it.

SCOTT ROEDER IS A CONVICTED MURDERER

Scott Roeder has been found guilty of the murder of Dr. George Tiller. There was no other conclusion to come to because the convicted murderer admitted on the witness stand that he did kill him. He also was asked by his own attorney if he regretted the killing and he replied that he did not. He also described how he stalked the doctor with the intention of finding the best place to kill him. After all of these admissions he tried to justify his actions by saying that he was saving lives by killing Dr. Tiller.

After all of his admissions the only verdict the jury could have come to was “Guilty”. To have someone on the streets who can decide that he doesn’t like what someone is doing so he will take the law into his own hands and stalk that person, decide to take a gun to a church, place it against the head of his victim and pull the trigger would make this world a more dangerous place.

Some people may consider the motive for this horrible crime as justifiable, but as horrible as late term abortion is the answer is not to do what Scott Roeder did.
